RAFO announces two job opportunities for UK citizens to work for the Band of the Royal Air Force of Oman for the following positions. Applicants should meet the following requirements:

Chief Instructor

Qualified Band Master (LRSM or equivalent)
Current or former musician of a British Military Band
Ability to design and implement training programmes for the overall development of the band
Working knowledge of all band instruments
Proficiency in music theory instruction
Competent keyboard skills
Working knowledge of band arranging and composition skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage musicians of different abilities.

Pipe Drum Instructor

Internationally recognised pipe drum qualification
Proven ability to train students across all levels of pipe drum grades, both theoretical and practical
Participated in World Championship at all levels
Completion of a recognised Drum Major Course
Previous experience training bands for local and international events
SCQF level 6 in Pipe Drum instructing or equivalent
Former or current member of a British military band
Strong commitment to promoting excellence in pipe drumming
Excellent communication skills and ability to inspire and motivate musicians.
